Friday, January 30. 2009TODAY WAS GOOD AND BAD
I suggested we go for a drive today
WELL of course I had an ulterior motive! ! ! I suggested we drive to McPherson and go to the "Buttonhole" quilt shop which is closing and is having a huge sale and then we could drive on over to Maxwell Game Preserve only a few miles away Found some bargains at the fabric shop. Spent about an hour in there and probably could have spent longer if hubby wasn't in car waiting. Then we drove on over to the game preserve. This is a neat area that has a lake and grasslands and elk and buffalo. We found the elk and I took some pictures. Then there was this metal viewing tower that I decided to climb. We knew it was windy but didn't realize just how windy. After the first gust that about blew us off we decided we'd better get down. I stuck my camera in my jacket pocket and started down the narrow steep metal stairs and then I heard something go clunk clunk and there went my camera. It hit every step for 2 flights and hit bottom in the dirt. Yes it broke. So I didnt' get any buffalo pictures or the tower pictures and wont' be able to get ANY pictures for awhile. Think I'll have to buy a new one. But other than that it was a nice day!   Trackbacks
